Task: 

You and your spouse are invited to a wedding. Plan with your partner to buy an appropriate present for the couple.

It's high time we decided what to give Mary and James as a present for their wedding. Legfőbb ideje eldöntenünk, hogy mit adjunk Mary-nek és Jamesnek nászajándékba.

Don't mention it. It's a real pain in the neck. Ne is mondd! Csak púp a hátamon.

Come on, Walter. How can you say that? Ugyan, Walter! Hogy mondhatsz ilyet? 

I'm sorry but I haven't got the faintest idea. Sajnálom, de halvány fogalmam sincs.

Maybe we could buy them a nice kitchen set. Talán vehetnénk nekik egy szép edénykészletet.

Do you think so? I'm afraid that's what everybody will buy for them. Gondolod? Attól tartok, mindenki azt fog venni nekik.

Perhaps you are right. What else then?  Igazad lehet.  Mi mást akkor?

How about giving them our almost new colour TV? Mi lenne, ha nekik adnánk a majdnem új színes tévénket?

You can't be serious. Let us get this srtaight: this is a special occasion, so it wouldn't be proper to give them something second-hand. Nem mondod komolyan. Tisztázzunk valamit: ez egy különleges esemény, tehát nem lenne illő másodkézi dolgot adni nekik.

You are right. But what can we give them which is not too expensive?  Igazad van. De mit adhatunk nekik, ami nem túl drága?

I wish I knew. Wait! I have an idea! Why don't we buy them two tickets for a good musical?  Bár tudnám! Várj! Van egy ötletem. Miért nem veszünk nekik két jegyet egy jó musicalre?

That sounds good.  Jól hangzik.

You know that they are both fond of Webber's musicals. Tudod, hogy mindketten odavannak Webber musicaljeiért.

There's no doubt about that. Why not? It's worth a try. Efelől semmi kétség. Miért is ne? Megér egy próbát.

So that's settled then. Tomorrow you're going to the Royal Musical Theatre and book the tickets. Akkor ezt megbeszéltük. Holnap elmész a Királyi Musical Színházba és megrendeled a jegyeket.

Oh,me? Are you sure that's a good idea? Musicals are not my cup of tea, you know. Én? Biztos, hogy ez jó ötlet? Tudod, hogy a musical nem az én műfajom.

I'm absolutely sure that you will arrange that perfectly, darling.  Teljesen biztos vagyok benne, hogy tökéletesen el tudod rendezni, drágám.

O.K. I'll do my best.  Rendben, megteszem, ami tőlem telik.
